In 2004, Sandimas ventured deep into the heart of China to understand the process and procedures to design, construct and set up production lines that process cheap powdered coal into valuable coal briquettes. After working closely with our Chinese counterparts for over 2 years in anticipation of an industrial shift from petrol based productions to cheaper and more efficient coal based productions, the Coal Briquette division was launched early 2007 to design and build coal briquette production lines in Indonesia.

As a result, Sandimas’ Coal Briquette Division is the first and only company in Indonesia that has the expertise to design and construct entire coal briquetting production plants, complete with warehouse, logistics, human resource and materials management.
