    Our management team has been put to the test countless times yet we always manage to capitalize on any situation given to us. During the 1997 economical crisis, many companies in Indonesia resorted to controlling their expenditures as well as reducing their budget and headcount in order to minimize the economical impact.

    Sandimas Group took a bolder step and did otherwise.

    We reorganized, increased our headcount, sent a team to start a QC and trading office in China and spent a large amount of money to bring in new and innovative products into the Indonesian market. As a result, we were the first company in Indonesia to introduce 60cm x 60cm tiles from China into the Indonesian market and the response was tremendous. Although the spending power was extremely weak during the 1997 period, Sandimas Group continued to expand its operations and when the economy revived, Sandimas has already made its mark in the construction & development industry.
